This is a high quality, full resolution, high profile h264 dvd rip of Stargate SG-1 - Season 8. These files may be a little large for some. But if you aren't worried about space, and want a higher quality, then this is for you. I've previewed the episodes and they look and sound great on a 50 inch lcd/surround sound system. Stargate SG-1 Season 8, episodes 1-20 Source: DVD Rip Average File Size: 625mb (note: the file size is a little larger than previous seasons, by 25mb, in order to accommodate the extra audio track (French). Container: MKV Video: x264 Audio 1: English, AC3 passthru, 5.1 channel Audio 2: French, AC3 passthru, Dolby Surround Audio 3: English-Director's Commentary, AC3 passthru, Dolby Surround (Note: Episode 18, "Threads", does not contain a Director's Commentary track. There was no Director's Commentary track on the original DVD. However, English and French tracks are included.) Subtitles: English srt (in MKV) Please seed when you are done...a good rule of thumb is to upload at least as much as you've downloaded...thanks!! p.s. I ripped many of the subtitles myself, but also used subtitles that I found online. I did re-sync and perform spot checks and they seem fine. However I can't guarantee the accuracy of the subs since I didn't rip them myself. Thanks to those who did. p.s.s. ATT PS3 MEDIA SERVER (which I use for these) USERS: These files may not work properly with TSMuxer...use the MEncoder engine(default) instead. Also if using MEncoder, if you have problems with audio sync, try unchecking AV/Sync Alternative Method.

Sorry, but I don't plan on releasing the dvd extras. And as far as Atlantis, I did think about doing that next. However, there are already high quality rips of Atlantis out there. I have just finished dowloading the bluray rips and they are fantastic. I would always choose bluray over dvd rips. So I don't think there would be much interest.
I plan on ripping "Space Above and Beyond" next. It is only a one season show. Then after that, I will probably rip Star Trek Deep Space Nine and/or Star Trek Voyager. However, if there seems to be enough interest in Atlantis, I would consider that.

There is a big torrent of season 1-5 of “good quality†of atlantis but in that torrent only season 3-5 works and there are no directors commentaries
So please upload atlantis and especially season 2 with commentaries please :)

Beauty - Thanks very meech! Haha. I've had old copies of SG-1 SE1-10 for years and they were pretty terrible in comparison. Watchable, but you know how it is. Better quality IS better.
I will get the files on the UL as much as possible but I can't promise permanent connection.
Thanks to everyone who seeded, even those who limited their UL rate. It doesn't matter, just means you have to be more patient. (Those who whine about it, please just think how much time and effort it takes to get these series UP on the service)

How come Threads isn't the full length episode as originally aired? It is supposed to be 65 minutes + not 43 minutes
