This is a high quality, full resolution, high profile h264 dvd rip of Stargate SG-1 - Season 4. These files may be a little large for some. But if you aren't worried about space, and want a higher quality, then this is for you. I've previewed the episodes and they look and sound great on a 50 inch lcd/surround sound system. Stargate SG-1 Season 4, episodes 1-22 Source: DVD Rip Average File Size: 600mb Container: MKV Video: x264 Audio 1: English ac3 passthrough, 5.1 channel Audio 2: English Director's Commentary, Dolby Surround Subtitles: English srt (in MKV) Please seed when you are done...a good rule of thumb is to upload at least as much as you've downloaded...thanks!! p.s. I used subtitles that I found online. I did re-sync and perform spot checks, however I can't guarantee the accuracy of the subs since I didn't rip them myself. Thanks to those who did. p.s.s. ATT PS3 MEDIA SERVER (which I use for these) USERS : Make sure to disable ASS/SSA Subtitles. Also, these files may not work properly with TSMuxer...use the MEncoder engine(default) instead. Also if using MEncoder, if you have problems with audio sync, try unchecking AV/Sync Alternative Method.
Thanks Meechorno!!!
I was just looking for the original dvds so I can rip them the same way that you did :-D
You saved me weeeeeks!
Thanks again!

Also what soft are you using for the rips?
I use Handbrake.
Can you post the encoding settings you use?

Hi evilminded:
I use Handbrake as well. I really think it's the best program out there for ripping video. I turn all the settings up pretty high. Probably some are overkill, but like I said in the description, my computer handles it pretty well. The following options take about 1.5 hrs for a 4 min show. If I rip a movie, I usually use 1-pass with a Constant Quality/RF of 16.5. with Motion Estimation Method: Exhaustive (which takes much longer...not feasible when ripping an entire series)
The options string I use for t.v. shows: ref=9:bframes=8:subq=9:mixed-refs=0:8x8dct=1:trellis=2:b-adapt=2:direct=auto:b-pyramid=1:me=umh:merange=64:analyse=all:no-fast-pskip=1.
Or in other words:
PICTURE TAB
Anamorphic: Loose
Modulus: 16
Cropping: Automatic
VIDEO VILTERS
Detelecine: Default
Decomb: Default
Deinterlace: Off
Denoise: usually off or Weak if bad noise
Deblock: Off

Framerate (FPS): Depends...usually 23.976
2-Pass Encoding: on
Turbo first Pass: off

Downloading now and i am only uploading to people? come on guys FFS seed cause all i am getting it people leeching of me from vuze and shit and i aint that bothered as long as i can download
and to point out something Rakasas is the only one that i can download from? And he doesn't want to upload?
Awesome Work..10/10 Cheers
Beauty - Thanks very meech! Haha. I've had old copies of SG-1 SE1-10 for years and they were pretty terrible in comparison. Watchable, but you know how it is. Better quality IS better.
I will get the files on the UL as much as possible but I can't promise permanent connection.
Thanks to everyone who seeded, even those who limited their UL rate. It doesn't matter, just means you have to be more patient. (Those who whine about it, please just think how much time and effort it takes to get these series UP on the service)
Thanks again guys
