Sometimes the student versions lack certain features because they're not supposed to be used for commercial reasons...and yeah, Ultimate is too bloated for me as well.

This has a different version Express, express editions are free and have features stripped out you may or may not need. They indeed ideal for cheap students.

This one did freeze on me three times when installing .NET 4.0. I just downloaded and installed that, ran the setup again and everything installed fine. I think it was my system not the release since no one else had problems.

I mounted the image with poweriso, then I double click on autorun.exe but nothing came out. I also double click on setup.exe, but installation window did not come out. Anyone know what is the problem ? Thanks

Is this DreamSPark version? I had MS Expression DreamSpark version be4 and it worked great. If this is DreamSpark version too, then it should work just finee.

just a reminder, if you're using zonealarm:
go to:
'Program Control'
'Main'
set 'SmartDefense Advisor' to Manual
(this makes every program ask you for permission to use the net. don't worry, you can make any choices permanent so you don't keep getting bugged every 5 minutes)
***********BUT***********
if you're using any ms s/w, such as this,
you'll want to go to
'Advanced'
in
'SmartDefense Advisor'
and uncheck the
'Allow certified MS programs to run automatically'
otherwise there's really no point to using torrents cuz something'll phone home and then you'll be F*@ked!

After downloading this from utorrent, it downloaded quite fast and easy but i double clicked it to start the setup, and it asks me to burn to a disc. any idea why its asking me this? do i need to burn it or have i done it all wrong?

Awesome Torrent, it works perfectly!!!! Before installing, you've got to mount the image using DAEMON tools or PowerISO in order for the autorun to take over. Voila!
