Forget about M-Tron Amateur! Step up to M-Tron Pro! This is GForce's big daddy, with over 3 gigs of sounds, including nifty loops, BBC Radiophonic effects, synth samples, E-bowed guitars, and other goodies.

Those who have other mellotron software will find new sounds in here. It's quite a bank of sounds. You certainly want to get it. But there are some disappointments as well. For one, it seems that the "remastered" sounds presented here are not clean and fresh and high-generation, like the Venice Audio mellotron banks, but rather slightly cleaned-up versions of the tapes they already had. In some cases, I might even say the non-remastered versions included sound slightly better. Also, you don't get some of the newer sounds that are going around, like the new cello or electric cello. Furthermore, the "sad strings" are once again all by themselves instead of with the bossa nova, where they should be (those strings were meant to be bossa nova accompaniment! You weren't meant to just play several minutes of sad strings all by themselves!) And the rhythms are still presented without accompaniment.

I don't know how this will fit into my arsenal yet. For some sounds I might turn to it. But when I want the lush remastered sound of certain instruments, like strings, I might still go for the Venice Audio library. And for the vintage sound, the Mike Pinder bank is still indispensable. Still, this has some good ones that I think I'll keep. I like the clarinet, and the E-bowed guitar. And a few others I don't have in other libraries might stick to me.

PS: Works on Macs and PCs.

when i try to install this it tells me i need administration permition to write
and i cant do it

what do i do?
Using this on Windows 7 64 bit...works beautifully as standalone but when i try to use it as VST in Abelton Live 8.1.1 it crashes live everytime! Help please!!
where iz tha serial it sayz i need one....?!?!?!! i copy and paste'd tha crack driver where tha original iz located but still no luck =(
Windows 7: don't use it myself, can't help.

Serial: anything. Just fill up the space with anything. It'll take it.
It won't take any serial number. It loads successfully for me, but I don't know the correct serial number to make it work!:-(
Bad Win7 krakk.
In Win7 you can run any program in compatibility mode and as administrator. I have set the installer (msi) for Win XP sp3, and the resulting exe to the same, still it asks for a number and will output silence. Do not waste your time.
It works!!!! When you open the program for the first time, after you replace de dll file and choose the location of the library, it ask for a serial number, just write a 1 digit number and get fun. Tested on windows 7 64 bits.
has anyone got this to work with mac? typing in random stuff for the serial doesn't work. any ideas?
MAC USERS

Hey guys if any of you get a "the installer requires admin privileges to run" error do this.

I. MOUNT the M-Tron Pro.dmg file
II. COPY the INSTALLER to your DESKTOP
III. (right click show package contents) and go to:

/String Machine/Double-Click To Install String Machine.app/Contents/Resources/

open the installscript.plist file and change the Require Admin field to FALSE.

Save the file, quit, and go back to the beginning and run the file. It will quickly prompt you for your admin password and install properly.

Worked for me.
to get this to work install the mac or pc if you have a mac install the mac installer for your steam if you have a pc install pc installer for your steam put the crack in your vst folder this what i did to get it to work for me window 7 32bit
This is garbage. The crack doesn't work, plus it always crashes Ableton.

Don't bother.
People, this torrent works fine for Intel Mac.

just do the following steps:

- open dyn-gfmtrnpro.iso and Installer Mac
- copy the Install M-Tron Pro.app to your desktop
- change the Admin Prefs as explained above
- install M-Tron Pro
- move the whole M-Tron Pro Library folder to HD/library/Application Support/GForce/M-Tron Pro

- open dyn-gfmtrnprocrck/OSX then M-Tron.Pro.OSX-DYNAMiCS.dmg
- open M-Tron Pro v1.0 Installer with right click / show package content
- do the same with M-Tron Pro Application.pkg
- open Archive.pax.gz
- move the M-Tron Pro.app which should be saved now to your downloads folder to your application folder and replace the installed one
- now do the same with M-Tron Pro Plugins.pkg, open the archive and replace the .dmp/.component/.vst files with the new ones.

now you should be able to open the M-Tron app with any serial.

worked for me with Lion (Windows I didn't try)
@Alesdegrande
I did every step you listed in the exact order and everything (I tried multiple times) and yet M-Tron Pro crashes in both the stand alone app, and in Logic Pro. I think the Library file is fucked because I only get that error after I "find the library folder" (and before you say it, yes I put it in the HD/library/Application Support/GForce/M-Tron Pro folder). Any advice?
