I've downloaded this torrent, but i cant upgrade the game to ver. 1.6.19. When i start the Patch installation, then i get an error that say's "setup couldn't find a Battlefield 1942 installation".

ammm... i downloaded dc final and it installs nicely but when you start a new map it crashes, probably cause the 1.61 patch is missing, so maybe somebody encountered this situation and might help me??? cause without mod this game is not so good...

I did everything I thought I was supposed to I extracted and nothing happens when I click on BF1942 and yes I already know I'm rather unskilled when it comes to computers so any responses pointing this out won't help but any real help would be greatly appreciated.

i found a solution to it
just go to this site: http://www.regfiles.net/file/4/
and create a reg like they tell you to
download the reg and install it
and voila you are able to update

works awesomely problem when you try to open the game from a short cut it say you need to reinstall to fix simply open the original file not a copy not a short cut

it is very logic it says that, because you haven't installed it. You need to know all about regestry editing and all if you want that problem to be solved, or just download another torrent and install that one.

To delete the folder, make sure none of the files inside it are in use.
So, open task manager, go to processes, make sure none of them are any of the files in the folder.
If any of them are, end that process.

is there a setup file included in the dl, cuz I've tried these no-install games many times before and they don't work. you are supposed to install with setup wizards because the setup writes entries into the system's registry.

Good torrent, unless your looking for multiplayer gameplay.
Some pros:
-fast dl (around 1 hour 30 min for me)
-no install

Cons:
-the "no install" feature is bad because if you want to play multi player, ofcourse you will need the newer patches. (this is patched at 1.50)

so since this wasnt installed (by you) and its premade, the official patch cannot locate the directory of this game.

Good torrent if you wanna relive the fun on singleplayer, maybe get some mods ofc :D, but for online, its a no go.

(also in 2010 EA dropped BF1942 from punkbuster)

But thanks for the torrent, my cd was broke and I wanted to play this, always enough room for this game.
