the file with the serial key seems to be in encrypted format.... could you please post the serial key in the comments ?

nvm that, all you have to do is follow the instructions in this link http://www.avira.com/en/support/kbdetails.php?id=90 easy enough..... jsut gotta read some, i know the horridness!

When asked for the serial, click on the blue underlined text that says "I already have a license"
then just browse to the file (mine looked like a registry file)
