Remastered in 2004 and rereleased again in 2008, this album would plant the seeds that would later germinate in the deathgrind genre, influencing notable bands such as Exhumed and Aborted. Crafting festering lead work and pounding, twisting rhythms into demented songs about the various uses of dead bodies, Owen, Steer, Amott and Walker had conceived a macabre masterpiece, one of the most towering landmarks in the Death Metal genre. The rereleased version is notable for containing the Tools of the Trade EP, which has two rerecorded songs from Symphonies of Sickness. One of the most important metal albums of the early 90's and a must-have for any metal fan.
