Plot:
Clint Eastwood stars as Walt Kowalski, a widower who holds 
onto his prejudices despite the changes in his Michigan 
neighborhood and the world around him. Kowalski is a grumpy, 
tough-minded, unhappy old man, who can't get along with 
either his kids or his neighbors, a Korean War veteran whose 
prize possession is a 1972 Gran Torino he keeps in mint 
condition. When his neighbor Tao, a young Hmong teenager 
under pressure from his gang member cousin, tries to steal 
his Gran Torino, Kowalski sets out to reform the youth. 
Drawn against his will into the life of Tao's family,

Quality is ok, although I would have preferred a 2 cd rip for a two hour movie.

The subtitles however were absolutely garbage, full of mistakes. Probably written by a gook.

You will need Azureus or BitTorrent or another torrent site. The home page of pirate bay should have a link. Download the program and run the set-up. Just click on the "Download this torent" link on various torrents and you are there. It is fairly easy to set up.

Hi, the video runs beautifully on my computer. However, I have noticed that when I convert the avi into DVD format (using WinAVI 8) and then burn a DVD video file to watch in my DVD player, there is a considerably audio lag. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Regarding removing subtitles, just delete the SRT file and commence with your file conversions into DVD format. That worked for me. (However, I have audio lag problems...so...take what you will from my suggestion).

i work at a movie theater and run the projectors, we have a digital projector and the movies all come on a hard drive. I was able to pull off what i think is one of the video files.

the computer that plays the movie is called Doremi Labs DCP-2000, it plays JPEG2000 files, and the file i pulled off has an extension of .mxf

I've tried opening in Adobe, and Raylight to try to convert it to an avi, but nothing has worked. I can provide anything you need to try and get this to work, because if it does, i can provide any movie that we get that comes on a hard drive.

of couse, just leave your torrent program open at nite, and you can click the option to let seeding tasks have priorty over dowloading tasks. you can also use the scheduler to pick specific times to seed. i am talkin about utorrent to be specific.

Never use AC3 at bitrates this low. There are other codecs for lower bitrates that perform way better given the size. AC3 is not intended for this.

absolutely incredible movie. One of the most powerful films i have ever seen, if you havent downloaded this film them you absolutely have to it really gets under your skin and makes you think. Anyone who's posted comments saying it's shit clearly doesnt have the mental capacity for a film this good.
If you cant get it to work, download vlc media player cause it doesnt work with windows media player.

I am using utorrent 1.8.2, when I download a movie it saves it in a folder. The subtitles are i a [srt] file. If you delete that file(I usually delete everything but the [avi]), you shouldn't get any subtitles, however, if you do then they are embedded in the file and you can't remove them, try downloading another file.

I had the same problems as you. I downloaded a file [Combined Community Codec Pack or CCCP]. Once I downloaded and installed this, I had no problems with watching and listeniing any movie or for that matter problems with burning it to disc and playing on a DVD player. You get probably every codec you'll ever need and a couple of players too.

The movie: seriously, the script and at least 85 procent of the dialogue and scenes are missing credibility. You get the idea this is a cheap remake of some highschool play written by a blind 4 year old.

The only thing worthwile is hearing Clint grunt sharp oneliners all the time.
The other lead role is played by a worthless teen spook that Clint must have rescued from a David Carradine snuff movie. Typical
zipface overacting. I guess his previous role must have been playing a dead goose crying in the background of Rambo IV.
