I try to make my releases as close to scene standard as possible. Do you mean you prefer 2 x 700mb avi or literally just one? I feel that just one would lose too much of the quality. I like to keep the video untouched with my rips. *shrug* I'll keep them as *.avi's in the future as it seems people want that. Thanks for the feedback.

I look for the 700mb versions of movies because I watch them on my computer and they look fine. But, there are certain movies which should be seen in all their detail. But I'll take what I can get and really appreciate the effort you put in your postings. Thanks!

I always look for the movies of around 1.2 Gb

The 700 Mb ones were a standard back in the days, as it would fit on a standard CDR.

But actually the best compromise of compressed quality and filesize lies in the +1Gb files.

If you wanna see movies in the future, or trade them, you have to keep in mind that standard screen sizes are about 20 inch. It really is not fun to watch cubes of dither...

By the way

RARs don't give more quality or don't give a more intact copy. Torrents are checked bit per bit for exactness... I never had any corupt 1-file daownloads...

Downloads used to be chopped in parts for the sake of not having to redownload all the data when a download stalled. The parts that were in were in, and if a download failed, you just needed to redownload the part you were actively downloading.
This still can make sense at this time, but doesn't make sense for torrent, since it gets chopped up anyway, and is resumable too...
