This is a great film. Ignore the low IMDB rating. That was generated by pissed off Americans because there's no Rambo in the movie to save the day. Lots of action, lots of killing, lots of gore and you get a glimpse of the war from the side of the VC as well as the Americans which is unusual. Deserves double what the idiots on IMDB rated it.

cmon fellas, there's no meaning in claiming the "nationality" of any technology. point is that the biggest part of any achievement was military funded, and that goes to almost every country. that simply shows our priorities as a whole friggin planet. HOWEVER, and that goes to briankeegan, inventing the internet does not justify invading a foreign country like vietnam or like a dozen other countries, and meddling in a brutal and catastrophic way with the affairs of others, just so the usa keeps its rule over the world... no offense, but for example i'd rather have a world without internetif that meant no atomic bomb use at the same time

I have no compaints with the movie it self. It is just the people on here always talking about my country. If I was to talk about someone elses country i wold expect the same stuff. Movies are great if the movies is mentioning something bad about my country I am fine . But when people call my fellow Americans or my country it self bad and talk about it then I have a duty to defend it.

briankeegan, yes USA has done alot of good in the world but shitloads of bad. You talk about defending your country but to everyone else it looks like attacking oil countries for some money. I guess the last time you really had to defend your country was during the Revolutionary War. Or do you still believe the Irak war for example was because of the "weapons of mass destruction" ?
i enjoyed the film, but then again im a brit soldier, if you can imagine being in that situation it makes the film more thrilling, those guys actually went through similar stuff for real in vietnam,, god bless them...ive read lots of books on this subject but this movie was actually good considering the write up from IMDB....watch it and find out...
