I am having a little problem though. It's not this specific torrent, been having it with another version of mathematica, student one that time.

Every time I finish an installation my mathematica seems to auto register with another crack i had on mathematica 6 and seems kinda buggy, that is it doesnt allow me to edit notebooks, or press some buttons. How can i fix this?

Maybe you need to have mathematica 6 installed in order to get 7 working?

First install 6.0.3 using the Hard Wisdom keygen. Then you can install 7.0 and it'll use the same key that 6.0.3 is using. This at least works on Windows, but I'm not sure about Linux and Mac.

Keygen by EDGE works great.
Anyway, I'd like to have it in console text-mode so to be able to parse its output by bash script.
I tried a previous version by EDGE called kglinux but it generates only demo-mode passwords.
Could you please make available this version in a textual interface form? Or the source of the keygen so as to do it myself?
Alternatively, how can I contact EDGE? Maybe via anonymous freenet?

greetings all--on windows and Mac versions license info is stored in a file called simply mathpass. If you are having troubling installing due to leftovers from version 6, find and delete mathpass, and start afresh with a new key from the keygen. Be sure to pick up the correct MathID when you open Mathematica as sometimes the keygen gets it wrong.

Like some others, I am looking for the Mac version.

When the disk is mounted, go to the virtual CD drive it is in my computer E or F whatever it is, right click and explore, the edge directory is on the disk.

However I'm having a problem, where do you get the MATH ID for the key gen??

Use the Lxxxx-xxxx (forget what it was) code that shows up when you launch the keygen. Type that in along with any name and organization. On the next page you should see the MathID.

Had trouble finding the math id. Go to start:programs:wolfram mathmatica: mathematical kernel. Start it. You'll see the mathid..
Plug it in the appropriate box on the keygen. Use the number that starts with L on the first dialogue box. Use the one to the right of it (password) on the second.

Hey everyone,
I am not really sure how to use this. When I open up the folder that contains all the files R0x files. Then there is the RAR file. When I unzip the RAR, what do I do? Burn the CUE file to a disk? It did not do anything when I mounted it with Daemon Tools. It asked me to install to hard disk, but when I pressed it it did nothing.

If you are having trouble with the keygen:
Open it, there will be a licence somthing like L2725-0281. Paste that in Mathematica and click OK.

Copy your mathID. Now go to the keygen, select 'Please insert your MathID' and press backspace (on keyboard) and after that paste the mathID.

Then click generate, that should work!

Great to see all this fantastic software being shared. I know that I am probably in no position to request anything, but I'd like to ask if it's possible for anyone to get TI Nspire CAS software and/or Casio Classpad 300 software.

Those software are great for college, but it seems like impossible to find it anywhere, I think it would really help the people who study if it were available here.

If, like me, you're a retard and you thought that you're supposed to put your MatID in the box to the right of the License Number, you're wrong. Replace the text "Please insert your MathID" with your MathID. Doh!

I have some problems to install it because the screen where i should put the license number doesn´t appear, but i solve it deleting the folder "mathematica" on c:/documents and settings/all users/datos de programa (program files or something like that) /mathematica. It´s a hidden folder.

Perseverance pays off!!! For other noobs out there, the keygen can be found when you mount the file with Daemon tools, instead of double clicking the virtual drive open, right click then hit explorer... you'll find a folder nicely labeled "keygen" =D

For the validation:

1.- Install Mathematica 7 and, once installed, run it.

2.- When running, a window should appear asking whether you'd wanted to adquire a license
by Internet or locally; choose locally and fill in with your name and company.

3.- Once filled personal (or fictious) data, open the Keygen (in EDGE folder) and copy
the number that appear (the one in the form LXXxx-xxxx) to the third field below name
an company in the window previously open. Then The MAth ID number should appear. Copy it.

4.- Fill in the corresponding field in the keygen with the MathID, press "Generate" and
the password should appear.

5.- Finally fill the corresponding field with the password and... Ale Hop, Mathematica is working.
(for non-English operating systems, a windows will appear pointing that no translation exists;
Just press OK)

How to proceed When the windows in step 2 does not appear.

If a windows aking for a license does not appear (this arises when there is a previous Mathematica
installation) go to C:\Document and Settings\all user\Program data\ and delete the Mathematica
folder). Then uninstall Mathematica and go to step 1 above.

For those of you new guys that are having trouble:

1. Download
2. Unzip both files to any directory.
3. Use a program like DaemonTools and mount the .bin file.
4. If it does not autoplay, go to My Computer and click on the drive you mounted it to.
5. Install the program
6. When you get to the end, it asks you for your license number. Start the keygen FOUND IN THE DIRECTORY OF YOUR MOUNTED IMAGE. E.G. E:/EDGE
7. The keygen gives you 7 or 8 digit license code. Take this code and put it in for license. Press next.
8. Mathematica then gives you a customer ID or something, take this and put it into the keygen and press generate, that is your key.
9. Put the key in an vola! It works!

NOD32 thinks the keygen is a trojan, I'm pretty sure it's a false positive because 1) the keygen works (disable NOD32 first), and 2) a full scan of the hard drive after using the keygen reveals nothing. Thank you Team EDGE for a wonderful torrent, and for releasing the Linux version as well :)

Here is how to solve the " Invalid MathID! " problem with the EDGE keygen for Wolfram Mathematica 6/7.
1. After you put in the license (from the keygen) and your info in the installation screen you will get a MathID from Mathematica. Copy this number.
2. Go back to the window of the EDGE keygen.
3. Select all the text in the top bar and press the delete key. (So now you should have just deleted the "Please insert your MathID" text, but it will still show there-- this is ok).
4. Now paste your MathID in the top bar.
5. You should now get a password!
6. Put the password in the installation screen and now your are done.

people are having password issues coz, when you run the keygen, it generates new license number everytime. so be careful to enter the correct license number that you entered to mathematica.

The keygen was giving me a read/write error or something. It was because I had the .bin mounted to a virtual drive. Instead, I used MagicISO to convert the .bin to .iso and opened it in that. From then on everything went according to plan.
