Living on the EDGE RELEASE NAME ..... Mathematica v7.0 for Linux SUPPLIER ......... Team EDGE CRACKER .......... Team EDGE PROTECTION ....... Custom License Manager RELEASE DATE ..... 08/12/2008 SIZE ............. 1 CD URL .............. http://www.wolfram.com/ PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Wolfram Research Mathematica v7.0 for Linux Well finally here it is, enjoy it! Thanks to our supplier "you rock our socks and liberate their software :-)" If you're doing anything technical, think Mathematica - not just for computation, but for modeling, simulation, visualization, development, documentation, and deployment. Why Mathematica? Because this one integrated system delivers unprecedented workflow, coherence, reliability, and innovation. Rather than different toolkits for different jobs, Mathematica has been built ground-up over nearly 20 years to deliver one vision: the ultimate technical application and environment. Following closely on the dramatic reinvention of Mathematica in 2007, Mathematica 7 continues the momentum of innovation to deliver an array of new capabilities, greatly extending the state of the art in many areas, and bringing a dozen major new application fields into the integrated framework of Mathematica. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Unrar, Burn or mount the image. 2. Install Mathematica 7.0 3. Use the keygen in the EDGE dir to license your copy. Note: keygen supplied as windows exe only, sorry we are just generally lazy ... generate your lic on a winbox. 4. Enjoy! WE ARE DEDICATED TO QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY, AND DOING IT FOR THE LULZ!

Thank you EDGE!
You are all really great!!!

All Hail Team EDGE!
Thank you. I'll keep on seeding until I reach a ratio of 1.5 (or better) or 1 week, whichever comes first.
Keygen by EDGE works great.
Anyway, I'd like to have it in console text-mode so to be able to parse its output by bash script.
I tried a previous version by EDGE called kglinux but it generates only demo-mode passwords.
Could you please make available this version in a textual interface form? Or the source of the keygen so as to do it myself?
Alternatively, how can I contact EDGE? Maybe via anonymous freenet?
Anyway, if you feel generous you can contact me at eridologia@gmail.com. I'll keep checking the web out and hoping. Thanks.

LINUX FTW!
Glad no one has the "starting as Mathematica Player" many had with 6.0.3, which got easily fixed.
I followed the instructions on the KeyGen folder, also downloaded the keygen for the Windows version and tried that.
In both cases Mathematica starts as a Player :(

Sorry, I just had to remove the ~/.Mathematica directory, and it worked again. I used the keygen from the Windows version, though, not the one which comes bundled here.
Thanx for share.
VIRUS , Scanned with esetNod32 updated today 8 am
autorun.exe Win32/Rbot Trojan
keygen.exe Win32/Agent Trojan
Check it out and see if it's dangerous

Well, I also only get the "player"... :-( How is this "easily fixed"???!!!
delete the .mathematica foler (ctrl+h) virus is most likely a false positive (even though its unlikely to affect linux machines, with each distro having different architectures
i installed according to instructions, when I try to launch it, 'Untitled-1' window appears, and 'Welcome to mathematica 7' window appears over it. There's no chance of closing 'welcome' and in a few seconds everything freezes. Any suggestions?
Well, if anyone gets the problem i described, mine was caused by uncompleted transactions in updater (Fedora 10).
I'm happy there's Mathematica for Linux as well as for Windows :)

The keygen in this release sucks; I used the one included in Team EDGE's Windows release.
does anybody have an actual version 7.0.1 for linux?
I can't find a way to get it...
