Do NOT install this as your primary OS. It´s an early beta with bugs and time-limitation, so you don't want it as an everyday OS. Install it on a separate partition and dual-boot with your existing OS.

if you do not want to risk fucking your pc up, then test the OS out on VMWARE or another virtual machine. If you cant figure out what virtualization is, then you probably shouldnt be experimenting with alpha release microsoft operating systems.

XjapanFOREVER: it is easy, just install XP or your other OS on one partition. Then install Win7 on the other partition. Windows7 has it's own Bootloader just like Vista. Just Google BCDEDIT and you can find out how to customize the bootloader.

I also agree with mickx, I am installing it as a Virtual Machine using Sun Virtual Box to test it out. Pretty nice! you don't have to partition the drive or even burn the image to a DVD.
Hell, You don't even have to get out of your Lazy-Boy!

I've put mine on a fresh HDD and testing it out. Some improvements over Vista, slightly more speed etc.

IE8 is worth exploring as it has many new features.

Please DO NOT install this as a primary build, it's only a BETA. User a Virtual or a spare HDD.

I can't install from my OS because I'm running 32 bit XP but when I boot from the DVD I burned it doesn't allow me to install it. It appears to boot windows 7 but all I get is a background and a cursor and I cant do anything but move my cursor around. Anyone know how i can get this installed?

so, dont bother to search for cd/dvd emulator for w7
get some blank's and double click any ISO - enjoy
also - skype users should get version 4.beta, miranda works just fine

seen a few people on here say that they were able to get this running as a VM guest, but I've tried both the 32bit and 64bit versions under CentOS 5.2 with Xen and i get a blue screen just after it starts to load the setup files. Any suggestions? I've tried Full Virt, but I haven't tried paravirtualization yet.

I am using this OS at the moment, I found norton 360 v2 would not work on it, that was not a problem as 360 v1 works well, all the other programs work fine [that i need]. i like the new media player and what i found that i think is kewl is the way the windows re-shape themselves when you bump them into the edge of the screen, you can see it would work like the iphone if it was touch screen,
To activate it i found the crack on TPB, no issues top upload, i am a convert
