April biography

The Helsinki-based five-piece metal combo was founded in 2004. The
band's trademark is a relentless blend of soulful heavy metal with
melodic and pop-esque twists - I guess you could say that April is
the old dogÆs new bag of tricks û a modern metal gem in the global
pile of faceless bands jumping on the bandwagon.

After signing to Spinefarm Records in early 2006, the band
immediately started the pre-production of their debut album - due
out in February 2007 - with Tero Kinnunen, a Finnish producer
whose work with million-selling Nightwish has won international
recognition and acclaim.

The yet-untitled and unmastered album is filled with virtuoso
vocals, gigantic and heavy riffs as well as beautiful and balanced
songwriting. It's definitely heavy metal but with alternative rock
and pop music flavours.

Between the recording sessions April has supported Welsh heroes
Bullet For My Valentine, played two major open-air metal festivals
and spent numerous hours rehearsing and sharpening their skills
for future attacks!
