Tv i datorn Längst har Joost-projektet kommit. Bakom det ligger den svenske it-miljardären Niklas Zennström och det gäng som tidigare utvecklat fildelningsprogrammet Kazaa och Skype för internettelefoni. Joost fungerar som en tv i datorn. Kopplar man datorn till en platt skärm blir bildkvaliteten tillräckligt bra för att hela familjen ska kunna titta samtidigt. Antalet kanaler i Joost ökar hela tiden. Mtv och History Channel finns nu med. liksom nyheter från nyhetsbyrån Reuters. Även Sveriges television och Tv4 kommer att lägga ut innehåll på Joost. För den som gillar utländska tv-serier är nog det nya projektet Hulu mest intressant. Hulu backas av flera av de stora film- och produktionsbolagen i Hollywood och kommer att visa avsnitt från serier som Prison Break, The Office, Simpsons och många andra serier. Hulu är dock fortfarande bara på teststadiet. Om man anmäler sig nu via e-post har man möjlighet att få vara med att bli en av betatestarna av tjänsten.
