Ye, some guy managed to modify the WAD of Sin & Punishment for the N64, and he loaded Super Smash 64 into it. I've just tested it and it is 100% working!
Very cool development. Now just wait for Golden Eye! :D

No! Do not use it with an NTSC system.
thats just an injected .wad file which is cool. if you have an updated wii a regular .wad file wont load (the channel) it has to be injected.
Good stuff. Thanks a bunch. =)
YOU SO DO NOT NEED A MOD CHIP!! i cant believe how many ppl have payed to have their wii cracked open, youve been ripped off!! whats wrong with you ppl??? have you never heard of softmodding??? im a 23 year old woman and i can do it, ive installed all mine using inAcrysis's wii downgrade torrent, which includes the wad manager 1.3 channel the only thing wrong with it is he includes backup loader gamma which you have go though homebrew channel to make it work.. backup loader beta is much better as it has its own channel and you dont need to keep the sd card in the wii...
all you need are the files off the net and a sd card, if you have v3.4 downgrade it using inAcrysis's downgrader, and you'd also need twilight hack beta 2 (for v3.4 wii's).

Monnick thanks so much for the wads, you are truely a star! keep up the good work!!!! x x x x x x x x x x x

Dl'd an NTSC Mario Kart 64, the sound skips even if you change the region with Freethewads.
This torrent, being true PAL, works 100%. Excellent job monnick!
Played Rainbow Road on Mario kart 64, bloody hell it was nostalgic. Wish I could attach my N64 controllers though... :-(

@Hails592 Softmodding doesn't make you brilliant, nor to they solve everyone's needs.
Thanks just tried Super Metroid, works fine, hope the rest are the same, don't want a bricked wii when i just got it
@Hails592
Don't be so naive.
There are some advantages to hard-modding the wii system.
However, they are few with the wii, and as such i wouldn't recommend anyone paying for a chip for the wii.
I've had mine softmodded for 4 years now, and i haven't had a single issue playing anything at all - though new super mario brothers game required a patch for softmodded wii's, which delayed it working for a month more than a hard modded wii.
Also, the method you used to is overdone and wasteful. Its much simpler than all that. For people who want to softmod a wii - just look up softmodding wii and open the wiki link - it tells you how, and provides the downloads.

Thank you. Glad its not a rar file, so i can choose what ones i want to download. Super Mario snes is a bit more blocky than i remember, But then i had a small TV back then. Will have to dig out the ROM, so i can compare them. What better way to use up me credit.
