So this is my second TV rip ever. If there are any problems please tell me. I'm eager to fix whatever issues may arise. I've went through and removed the black bars and resized it to fit the previous Stossel releases. (Thanks skJGZV6z) Anyway, I ripped this using some cheap Diamond dongle. Ripped using EZ Ripper to their "DVD standard". Then cut into parts to remove commercials using AVIDemux and then join those files. Using that same tool I then convert using MPEG4 AVC (x264) & AAC (Faac) with a file limitation of 350mb, remove the black bars, and resize the video to fit previous Stossel releases. Hey olaflsenc. If this works better for you please leave a comment and let me know.
This is an older episode. Was saved on my DVR. I only have one more old episode on there (Big Brother) and I'll cap that, too. Eventually. Then I intent on starting to rip the older episode uploaded to his website.

Hi! The video does fill up the screen. I can't tell if there's a teeny aspect ratio problem. Stossel's head looks a little skinny. But the graphics at the bottom look normal, so maybe it's just my eyes :)
I think this is definitely a step in the right direction!
Thanks again for offering your time to rip these videos!

Yeah I had intended on releasing this rip on Friday but trimming the black bars turned out to be more of a problem than I had thought. When they were trimmed the aspect ratio just looked weird. Tried a few different ratios (Widescreen, etc.) but what seemed to look best was the ratio that skJGZV6z had been using.
If anyone out there with some video conversion experience could tell me what resolution I should be using I'd be happy to give it a go.
